Why UPI
BACKGROUND
UPI (Unified Payments Interface) is India’s real-time payment network. It runs inside the apps Indian customers already use, including Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm, and moves money straight from their bank account.
For a Philippine business, it matters wherever you serve customers in India: education providers, travel and tour operators, and online sellers.
UPI (INR) works in checkout and the API, payment links, invoices, the HitPay online store, and the Shopify and WooCommerce plugins. Your customer pays in INR and you’re paid in PHP.
It isn’t for businesses registered in India. UPI recurring payments are coming soon.
